I am so excited to meet you! My name is Haley and I am a photographer based out of Salt Lake City, UT. I specialize in capturing authentic moments between couples. I love photographing couples because I truly enjoy seeing people fall in love and getting to capture those special moments. I love working with couples who are looking for a creative way to document their relationship and I love helping couples find ways to incorporate their personalities into their photos. A mini engagements session, $300
lasts for 20 minutes, includes 1 outfit and 1 location. You can expect at least 20 photos delivered within 3 weeks in a stunning online gallery.
I also provide you with a location guide, as well as a what-to-wear guide, so you can pick the most beautiful spot for your photos and be sure to wear the most flattering colors!
These are especially wonderful because they help us to get to know each other and feel like good friends by the time your wedding day arrives!
Full engagement session
Full Engagement session, $480
lasts for 40-60 minutes, include up to 2 outfits and 1 locations. You can expect 40 photos for this session.
I again provide you with a location guide, as well as a what-to-wear guide, so you can pick the most beautiful spot for your photos and be sure to wear the most flattering colors!
An engagement session can be reserved with a retainer for 50% of the session fee. Contact me to schedule a time for your consultation! I can't wait to meet you before your big day and snap some gorgeous photos for you to cherish for years to come!
How to prep your groom for your utah engagement photos
If you’re a bride that is a little nervous about how your groom is going to feel about this whole “picture” thing, you’re not alone. We receive a lot of emails from brides who are worried that their groom won’t be into it, but I have great news for you... We are constantly surprising couples by discovering their hidden modeling skills and this is our most common response from our Haley Thomas Photography Grooms: “That wasn’t as bad as I thought! It was actually fun!”
Your engagement session is supposed to be fun and relaxed, not forced or awkward. As you prepare for your shoot, there are a few things that you can do to help your groom know what to expect.
First of all, I highly recommend sitting down together and showing him 2-3 of your favorite engagement sessions that I have photographed. This will allow him to gauge what his expectations should be. I also recommend that you allow for plenty of time to get to your shoot! There is nothing worse than a couple showing up late, and they have been arguing in the car before they arrive! Last but not least, remember to have patience with him and don’t assume that he’s not going to have a good time... I think you’ll be surprised how much you will both enjoy your session!

When do I recommend taking engagement photos in utah?
We can discuss a few options for location, and work together to schedule a time that works for all of us. I always recommend shooting the last 60-120 minutes before sunset, but in some locations we can shoot a little earlier if we have good shade and light. Believe it or not, you have so much control over the outcome of your shoot and what it looks and feels like! What you choose to wear is a big decision that often causes some stress.
